This is the retelling of one of the miracles of Jesus in the bible. We explained how some men carried a paralyzed man to a house where Jesus was teaching many people. Jesus knew that these men had faith that their friend would be healed. He healed the paralyzed man and forgave his sins too! The man jumped up and walked! Everyone that saw this miracle was happy, except the Pharisees and teachers of the law, who always complained about what Jesus did.

What does the story mean for kids? Kids will learn that Jesus has the power to forgive sins. Also, they will learn that Jesus has power over everything, including our bodies; so, he can heal us when we are sick. Finally, kids will be encouraged to help people who need help – just like the men who carried their friend to meet Jesus.

The bible reference for this story is Luke 5: 17 – 26.
